RED WING Shop Moc 8079
Welcome back! In keeping with the season, our popular Moc Toe is back in an Oxford version. In a slightly revised form, we are pleased to welcome three colors of the new "Shop Moc". Pictured here, the 8079 in summery Hawthorne Abilene Roughout leather, which we already know from the 8833 Moc Toe! The flat silhouette of the Shop Moc, paired with our comfortable Traction Tred sole and this beautiful leather make this style a perfect shoe especially for spring and summer, but also for the whole year due to its proven and sturdy construction. The beige roughout leather is perfect for the current release with a view to the warmer season and impresses with a fresh look paired with a comfortable fit right from the start. The Red Wing Shoe Company first used this leather in 1959 and has used it extensively in the Japanese collection since 1989.
The fit of this model is exactly the same as our 6-inch Moc Toes, as the established 23 last is also used here.
Historically, the Shop Moc has its origins in the mid-1950s, when the Red Wing Shoe Company launched the first Moc Toe Oxford under style number 895.
Like our other mocs, the Shop Moc impresses with its distinctive moccasin stitching, the cold-insulating Traction Tred sole, the Good Year construction and the beautiful Hawthorne Abilene Roughout leather, which was already appreciated by American hunters and farmers back in the day. Whether for rough work or for everyday urban life, this predominantly handcrafted boot has its place everywhere. A small side note: the term moc toe is a contraction of the word moccasin, which means "sole'' in the language of the Algonquin tribe.
If this color does not exactly meet your expectations, we also offer the Shop Moc in Oro-Legacy leather under the style number 8092 and in Black Prairie leather under the style number 8090.
