A very obvious special feature is the white Vibram TC-1 outsole that is being used for the first time on the 8203. This lug sole, which is otherwise only available in black on the 8146 Roughneck, impresses with its outstanding comfort and high slip resistance. It gives the 8203 Roughneck its unique look and is a real eye-catcher. In addition, the 8203 Roughneck is made with an upper leather that is also being used for the first time on this style. The dark green Loden Abilene Roughout has a fine, rough surface and can be compared colorwise to the Olive Mohave Roughout that is used with the 8881 Moc Toe, but the Loden Abilene comes in a slightly deeper and darker hue. In contrast to most smooth-finished leathers, this leather is a bit lighter and softer, but no less resilient or durable. When properly cared for with our Leather Protector, it is waterproof and extremely dirt-resistant. The subtle but contrasting dusty rose stitching was already used on the limited 8208 Moc Toe and is also a striking detail on the 8203 Roughneck.
