RED WING Merchant 8061
In August 2016 Red Wing introduced the new Merchant Collection, based on 1920s work boots. Part of this collection is the Red Wing 8061. The first style made with the premium Ebony Harness leather, the Merchant is produced in the company-owned S.B. Foot leather tanning facility. The boot is built without a toe-box on a Chemigum sole, which we've been using since 1964. The Red Wing Merchant collection has an elegant, slim silhouette, emphasized by the stitching on the outside of the boot, which reaches up to the Achilles' heel.
This collection can be viewed as an homage to the company's founder Charles Beckman, who worked as a merchant in Red Wing, Minnesota. The first boot manufactured without the shoe box was style no. 245, the „black chief“.
Made in USA.
