The Journeyman Backpack from Filson in the iconic Tan colorway is a highly functional and high-quality backpack that boasts a large capacity. With a simple look, the Journeyman impresses with the use of the best materials and a clever but simple compartment layout. There is a large compartment at the front, which is divided into individual spaces on the inside for optimum space organization. Everyday items such as a wallet, keys, a notebook or pens can be perfectly stowed here. The main body has additional compartments, such as a recessed and padded laptop space (fits up to 15 inches) and a zippered compartment for items requiring special protection.
The main material of the backpack is the famous Oil Tin Cloth, which is extremely water-repellent and will take on a unique patina over the years. This famous fabric is a tightly woven canvas that is impregnated with paraffin oil under high heat and high pressure. The back panel of the Journeyman is made of a rugged twill from the traditional British brand Millerain and the shoulder straps are covered with moleskin to prevent them from slipping around. The leather applications used here are made from a firm Bridle leather by Wickett & Craig and are gently tanned in the company's own factory in Seattle.
