The name “Helmet Bag” has its origins in the 1950s, where these bags were developed for Air Force pilots during the Korean War to carry a helmet and oxygen tanks. However, these bags were quickly repurposed and used as normal carry-on bags and became extremely popular among the armed forces. The Flying Ace 2Way Helmet Bag also has a US Air Force crest printed on the front, which is not too prominent and subtly lends the bag a high degree of authenticity.

Due to the clever 2-way design, the bag can be used both as a carry bag on the handles and as a shoulder bag with the removable strap.
